Every option gets the same close look.
The standards behind SD’s guides, comparisons, and corrections.
What we compare
We compare information that can be traced to a source: exact product identity, labeled ingredient amounts, serving size, format, other ingredients, and prices recorded on a stated date. We explain uncertainty rather than filling gaps with assumptions.
A comparison is not a recommendation to take a supplement. Price, brand visibility, or a commission rate cannot establish medical suitability. We do not diagnose conditions or prescribe doses.
Sources and review dates
We prioritize manufacturer labels for product details and public health sources such as NIH and FDA for general ingredient and label information. A manufacturer’s marketing claim is not treated as independent proof of effectiveness. Each guide identifies its source pages and the date they were checked.
Prices are dated snapshots unless clearly identified as live. Shipping, taxes, subscriptions, and discounts are described separately. Labels and formulas can change; confirm the exact current product before buying.
No invented testing or credentials
SD has not laboratory-tested the products in the initial guides. We do not present label research as hands-on testing, clinical review, or independent verification of a bottle’s contents. We do not use invented doctors, testimonials, star ratings, or expert endorsements.
SD Editorial is the publication’s organizational byline, not the name of an individual doctor. We use AI-assisted tools for research, drafting, and production. These guides do not claim independent clinician review. The sources remain available for readers to inspect.
Editorial and commercial decisions
Brands cannot purchase a higher position in an editorial comparison. We use consistent fields across products and explain the selection scope. A product may be included even when it offers no affiliate program.
If a link can earn SD a commission, we disclose that relationship near the relevant content. Paid advertising or sponsored material, if introduced, will be clearly labeled and separated from editorial judgments. No sponsored placements appear in this initial version.
Images and corrections
Branded bottle images identify the product shown; they do not represent an endorsement or a photograph taken by SD. Unbranded editorial still lifes are AI-generated illustrations and do not show tested products.
Use the contact form to flag an error or a changed label. Include the page and supporting source. Substantive corrections will be noted on the affected guide; its checked date will change only after a new review.
